Information Technology Department (ITD)

A fully operational Local Area Network (LAN) is in place at the IMA.

As the designated centre for marine, coastal and related research for Trinidad and Tobago, the IMA has a responsibility to convert and store, in digital format, the data collected by its researchers, in order to facilitate dissemination of the same.  The Information Technology Department provides technical support for this aspect of the IMA’s mandate.  It also has responsibility for providing all other information technology services at the IMA.

ITD provides these services through three main areas:
